Abbott Laboratories wanted to raise customer awareness skills within the Innovation & Development team in the Established Pharmaceuticals Division (EPD). Innovation Kinetics were asked to create a bespoke online training programme. The aim was to put customer insight into the heart of how the team create and select strong innovation ideas.
There were two real challenges. Firstly, could online training capture the energy and dynamics of in-person training and cut through in a world where people have a busy workload and endless online meetings? Secondly, the innovation tools and materials had to excite the audience and be truly applicable to the issues facing a global pharmaceutical company today – not an ‘off the shelf’ solution. Mary listened carefully and worked closely with the client team to create customised training.
The result was a set of real world examples and tools that were highly relevant and very useable. Participants fully engaged with the virtual process and enjoyed the experience and different approaches. They came away keen to apply the tools and put the ideas immediately into practice.
